Srinagar, Aug 15 (KNO): Referring to the recent 445th Council Meeting held in Pahalgam, the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) CA Charanjot Singh Nanda Friday said their visit with families and friends sends a strong message of hope and resilience for the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
“At Pahalgam, our presence with families and friends sends a message of hope and resilience to the people of Jammu & Kashmir,” Nanda said while addressing a press conference in Srinagar.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he added that the visit aimed to demonstrate confidence, unity and a return to normalcy in the valley.
Nanda highlighted ICAI’s initiatives to boost local economies, including research presentations and support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
He also shared plans to establish a Centre of Excellence in J&K, focused on skill development, research and capacity-building for ICAI members and students, aligning with the government’s developmental goals.
“The initiative will support growth and provide opportunities for learning and innovation for professionals in the region,” he said.
